Poorly Drawn People…

Storm Davis.

Reason.

Dox.

PDP is a not a rap group. They are a collaborative group of MCs, DJs and Producers slowly turning into an independant record label. I first met Storm Davis when I was at the Rhode Island School of Design producing music for Soul Cypher and performing on campus and around Providence. Storm was doing his thing as an artist, and was pretty well connected into the underground hip-hop scene in Providence. While I have since moved back to D.C., I still stay in touch with Storm and the crew members.  Much love and respect as they continue doing their thing up North.

Poorly Drawn People consists of Storm Davis, Reason, Dox, Sterbyrock, and Entity. Whether rapping, producing or deejaying…they are all true artists.

Poorly Drawn People has performed with artists like Kool Keith, LL Cool J, Apathy, Akrobatik, Mr Lif (Def Jux), 7L & Esoteric, Dream Warriors, The Last Emperor, Shabaam Sahdeeq (Rawkus), and Prolyphic (Strange Famous Records).

They have put out individual albums; see Storm Davis’ Kegstand Poetry (winner of the Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll Best Album of 2006), Reason’s Gemini Slang (rated 3.5 Stars by okayplayer.com), and Dusty Pickup, produced by Dox (”Dusty Pickup has all the makings of a classic album.” - rapreviews.com ) as well as mixtapes such as 2007’s Nothing Stays Gold (download free here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/evou08 ) and 2005’s Long Cold Winter.

They are currently working on their 2008 releases, tour dates and products.  Peep their information and daily updates on myspace and the website.

Definitely keep a lookout for Aplomb + PDP collaborations in the near future!
